American TESOL Institute was established in Baton Rouge, La., United States in 2002. American TESOL Institute headquarters is located in Tampa, Florida, which is in the southeast part of the United States. Dr. John May is the President of ATI and Jonathan Lazarus is the Executive Director. The foundation of American TESOL Institute was based on the dedication of a team of education experts who wanted to know how a second language is learnt.

Since 2008, we here at American TESOL Institute in the Philippines, has had an affiliation with ATI Florida. All of our courses that are taught by our highly trained and skilled teachers meet the high standards of ATI Florida.
